It's really, really good to see you guys, it's good to be out here in the west region. I'm going to move this. So there's nothing blocking me between you guys if I need to run off stage, or run away from somebody running on stage. hope that doesn't happen today.

But we're gonna be in Nehemiah chapter five. We're continuing on with our series of, of going through Nehemiah last week, actually, you guys had a campus led service. I heard it was amazing. We have one out east as well. But before that, we had two lessons as we kicked off the book of Nehemiah. And we talked about this whole idea of ruins. The first week, Ryan weekly preached that and then the second week are your very own Ryan Jones preached on rebuilding. And then he ended off talking about opposition to the rebuilding. And so we've preached those two main topics before I jump in, though I do want to make sure we get some time just to pray, I think it's always important to pray.

Before we jump into the Word of God, let's pray. Father, thank you for this day for for all that you do for who you are. I pray Father that as we look at your word today, as we look at Nehemiah chapter five, we evaluate our relationships together here. Lord, I pray that we can just have humility, towards you humility towards your word, humility towards one another. And that we can have an hearts and if there's anything in our hearts or anything in our lives that needs to change, because of what we talk about or read today, Lord, help us to leave here and to make those changes and not to fight against it. We love you and your son's name I pray, amen.

All right, so I'm really, really looking forward to going through this. So yeah, like I said, last week, this is what we talked about. Nehemiah chapter four, he kind of ended here right around here. So so we continued the work with half the men holding spears, from the first light of dawn till the stars came out. And at that time, I also said to the people have every man and help her stay inside Jerusalem at night, so they can serve us as guards by night. And as workers by day, neither I nor my brothers nor my men, nor the guards with me took off our clothes, each had his weapon, even when he went for water. You know, so they've started this rebuilding project. All around Jerusalem, the temple is built, the walls are in ruins. They, you know, they, you know, Ryan went through it, and Nehemiah chapter three, all the different groups and all the different gates that they're having to build. Okay, rebuilding the walls around a city takes a lot of effort, takes a lot of work. And while that's happening, outside forces started to come in and started to oppose the building. They wanted to set up meetings, and places like oh, no, and you know what it's like when you got he's like, No, we're not going we're saying, Oh, no to Oh, no. We're not going there. We've got work to do here, he was focused, but they did have to change their plans a little bit. They're like, Alright, we're gonna have to carry some swords, because we are, there's the potential for outside attack. And we've got to alter how we do things here a little bit. And that's sometimes what you have to do when you are building things don't always go according to plan. And you always have to be ready for the outside attacks, right. The only problem with this is they were ready for the outside attack. And an attack actually did come. But it didn't come from outside. They needed. The swords they were carrying, weren't going to be useful in this next attack. The attack actually came from within it was a it was the issues that they had to deal with on the inside. Here's some of the issues, relationship issues, issues of fairness, selfishness, class system issues,................................
